Early Years Foundation Stage

The EYFS Curriculum consists of 3 ‘Prime’ areas and 4 ‘Specific’ areas of learning, within which there are 17 Early Learning Goals which define the level of progress children should be expected to attain by the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage. To support children to reach their full potential, planning for child initiated and teacher-led activities reflects and promotes the different ways in which children learn, defined by the three characteristics of effective teaching and learning.
